Job Overview: Senior DevOps Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to lead automation, infrastructure, and security efforts across our DevOps ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, GitOps, and secure DevOps practices.

Main Responsibilities

• Set up and manage scalable GitHub Actions Runners with dynamic provisioning and secure workflow execution.

• Maintain Jenkins (including agent architecture, plugins, and shared libraries) and lead migration to GitHub Actions.

• Administer GitHub Enterprise, enforcing branch protections, secrets management, and access control policies.

• Operate and manage Nexus Repository for distributing Docker images, Maven, Helm, and npm artifacts.

• Integrate SonarQube with pipelines for code quality checks and enforce centralized quality standards.

• Build Kubernetes infrastructure using Helm, manifests, and Kustomize for CI tools, microservices, and dev environments.

• Use Argo CD to create GitOps pipelines with sync strategies, rollback, drift detection, and staged deployments.

• Use Terraform, Ansible, or cloud-native tools for reproducible, secure infrastructure provisioning.

• Embed security into pipelines—container/image scans, SAST, license checks, and secret detection.

• Optimize cost and performance of GitHub Runners and Jenkins agents across Kubernetes and VMs.

• Implement monitoring and alerting using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and ELK stack.

• Work closely with developers, QA, and security to resolve pipeline issues and standardize practices.

• Maintain detailed documentation: blueprints, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and onboarding guides.

• Perform security reviews for CI/CD and GitOps; automate risk mitigation processes.

• Support compliance/audit needs by embedding security policies into DevOps workflows.

• Lead “shift-left” security efforts—automating checks, integrating tools, and raising developer awareness.

• Design and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins for fast, secure delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

• Advanced Jenkins skills: shared libraries, pipeline architecture, plugin management.

• Deep understanding of GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, and reusable workflows.

• Expertise in Nexus Repository Manager and secure artifact management.

• Experience integrating SonarQube into pipelines with enforceable quality rules.

• Solid Kubernetes know-how: deployment, Helm, and performance tuning.

• Proficiency with Argo CD and GitOps workflows.

• Strong scripting (Bash, Python, or Groovy) for automation.

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Linux, and shell debugging.

• Infrastructure-as-Code skills (Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools).

• Proficient in Git workflows and secure development practices.

• Knowledge of DevSecOps: image scans, SAST, license validation, secrets detection.

• Experience with secrets management and securing CI/CD pipelines.

• 5 to 10+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
