Role Overview
Nava is leading the way in transforming government services and seeks experienced infrastructure engineers to advance this mission.
You will join a team managing and improving systems hosted on AWS, using tools like Docker, Packer, Terraform, and Jenkins. We continually explore new technologies that fit government requirements.
Your work will push the boundaries of system performance, including handling billions of user load tests and ensuring transaction speeds under milliseconds. You’ll contribute to critical services that millions rely on, focusing on building scalable, fast, secure, and well-designed systems.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.

Define technical standards for scalability, security, and compliance.

Code, manage, configure, and maintain systems; update documentation and runbooks.

Implement security controls.

Mentor junior engineers.

Participate in on-call rotations to respond to production issues.

Assist with hiring processes as needed.
Required Skills
-
Minimum 5 years of experience.
-
Experience leading small teams (3-5 engineers).

Proven success managing medium or large-scale production systems or COTS products using Infrastructure as Code on AWS.

Strong AWS service knowledge.

Proficient with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, LaunchDarkly.

Experienced with Terraform, Atlantis, and automation tools.

Skilled in cloud infrastructure, Unix/Linux, scripting, and security.

Ability to automate tasks using Shell, PowerShell, Bash, or coding in Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.

Excellent communication skills and eagerness to learn new development and operations tools.
Salary
$126,000 – $135,900 annually
