About the Role
Trimble is seeking a passionate and motivated Enterprise DevOps Engineer to join the Trimble E-Tools team. This role will be focused on managing, automating, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure and applications to ensure top-tier reliability and scalability. As a key member of the engineering team, you will drive the deployment of cutting-edge tools and ensure smooth integration and automation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to automate and deploy tools for testing, release management, and system monitoring.
- Maintain and optimize deployment pipelines and operations tools, ensuring efficient scaling and system reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple environments while providing high-quality customer support through automated solutions.
- Foster a culture of automation and continuous improvement within the team to enhance development and operations efficiency.
- Own KPIs for system stability, performance, and root cause analysis in production environments.
- Automate administrative tasks, streamline application operations, and develop secure coding practices.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and compliance with security standards.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
- 6 months to 2 years of experience working on cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems and cloud environments.
- Experience in using scripting languages (Python, Typescript) and containerization tools like Docker.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering teams.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Kubernetes, AWS App Services, and Service Bus.
- Familiarity with security standards and secure coding practices, including encryption and tokenization.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
