About the Role

The DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will focus on automation, infrastructure management, and ensuring system reliability during non-working hours (Bali time, GMT+8). This part-time role is ideal for candidates in time zones west of Indonesia, and involves collaborating with a dynamic, international technical team to maintain and optimize infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management: Design and maintain robust infrastructure for optimal system performance and reliability.
Monitoring & Automation: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance, resolve bottlenecks, and drive improvements.
Collaboration: Work with developers and product teams to integrate reliability practices into development workflows.
Production Support: Provide production support and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to enhance system efficiency and developer productivity.

Required Skills

Experience: 3–5 years in DevOps/SRE roles, especially supporting high-traffic web or SaaS platforms.
System Administration: Strong Linux/Unix system administration and networking skills.
Cloud & Containers: Hands-on experience with AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS ECS.
IaC Expertise: Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Microservices: Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Database Management: Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Programming Skills: Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js), Python, or Go.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
Backend Development: Experience with RESTful APIs or real-time services.
