About the Role

TyrAds is seeking a part-time DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join its growing technical team. This role focuses on system automation, infrastructure management, and ensuring high system reliability during non-working hours in Bali time (GMT+8). The role is perfect for candidates in time zones west of Indonesia, offering flexibility while contributing to a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
• Monitoring & Alerting: Implement and manage robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to track system health.
• Automation: Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for increased efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development and product teams to embed reliability into the software development lifecycle.
• Production Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth production operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvements in system performance and developer productivity.

Required Skills

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in DevOps/SRE roles, particularly in high-traffic web or SaaS environments.
• Linux/Unix Expertise: Strong system administration and networking skills with proficiency in Linux/Unix.
• Cloud Services: Hands-on experience with AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS ECS.
• IaC Tools: Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for infrastructure automation.
• Microservices & Distributed Systems: Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Database Knowledge: Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis.
• CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Programming Skills: Solid programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js), Python, or Go.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
• Backend Development: Experience with RESTful APIs or real-time services.
