About the Role

The DevOps Administrator will play a critical role in supporting the transition to a new system architecture while maintaining existing legacy applications. This position requires a focus on DevOps practices, particularly in the areas of Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) and Kubernetes/Docker management, as well as experience in working in cloud-agnostic environments. The role is on-site in Reston, VA and requires a current Polygraph security clearance.

Responsibilities

Maintain and support legacy applications while assisting in the transition to new system architecture.
Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
Work with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and management.
Integrate automated testing tools into the CI/CD pipeline to improve software quality.
Support cloud-agnostic environments and ensure seamless integration with multiple cloud providers.
Develop, implement, and maintain scripts for cloud services automation.
Collaborate within an agile environment to ensure smooth deployment and system integration.
Utilize Git for version control and collaborate with cross-functional teams on deployment tasks.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience in DevOps roles, with a focus on automation and system reliability.
3+ years of experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
Proficiency in working with cloud-agnostic environments.
Experience integrating automated test tools into CI/CD workflows.
Strong knowledge of Linux Operating Systems.
Ability to develop, implement, and maintain complex functions and scripts for cloud services.
Familiarity with Git for version control.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Must have an active Polygraph clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with building security-hardened images.
Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform.
