About the Role
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving the on-premises and cloud infrastructure, supporting DevOps initiatives, and collaborating with development teams to optimize workflows and application deployment processes. This role requires a self-motivated individual with strong technical skills and a commitment to ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Maintain, monitor, and improve on-premises and hosted/cloud infrastructure.
- Automation: Support automation initiatives to enhance IT efficiency and scalability.
- Application Support: Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of applications for Dev Teams to ensure proper integration and execution.
- CI/CD Management: Manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless application deployments.
- Security Collaboration: Work with security teams to implement best practices for compliance and risk management.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain documentation of systems, processes, and incidents, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Assist with troubleshooting, environment setup, and deployment, and provide on-call support for issue resolution.
- Collaboration: Foster collaboration with software developers, quality assurance teams, and IT operations to ensure the smooth integration of applications.
Required Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in IT support, DevOps practices, and developer collaboration.
- Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Networking: Familiarity with networking fundamentals and data processing platforms.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with developers, IT teams, and end users.
