About the Role
Frontera Health is seeking a collaborative and motivated DevOps Engineer to support and scale the infrastructure that powers its healthcare AI platform. As part of the engineering team, the successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data, and ML, to help build, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable cloud-based systems. This role provides a unique opportunity for someone with a solid DevOps background to grow in a high-impact environment.
Responsibilities
- Cloud Service Configuration: Configure and deploy cloud services across AWS and GCP environments.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable software delivery.
- Infrastructure Automation: Automate infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC solutions.
- Containerized Services: Manage and scale containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance, implement cost optimizations, and ensure the security and availability of production environments.
- Collaboration with ML Team: Work with the ML team to deploy, monitor, and retrain machine learning models in production.
- Cost Management: Lead cloud cost reporting, optimization strategies, and tooling efforts.
- Incident Management: Resolve issues in production environments, including root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
Required Skills
- Cloud DevOps Experience: 3–5 years of experience with AWS/GCP, with expertise in managing cloud infrastructure and services.
- Terraform Proficiency: Strong experience in using Terraform to manage infrastructure as code.
- Scripting Skills: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages for automating operations workflows.
- CI/CD Knowledge: Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, etc.
- Docker & Kubernetes: Expertise in containerization and orchestration in cloud-native environments.
- System Administration: Strong knowledge of system administration, networking, and cloud security best practices.
- Monitoring & Observability: Experience with tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or similar for system monitoring and observability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Machine Learning Deployment: Hands-on experience deploying and supporting machine learning models in production environments.
- Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile environments.
- Cloud Cost Optimization: Experience in managing cloud cost and implementing optimization strategies.
- Multi-Cloud Knowledge: Experience working with multiple cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
