About the Role
Syniti is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance and maintain its robust DevOps infrastructure. This critical role involves designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automating cloud-based environments, and ensuring the high availability and scalability of services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both software development and IT operations, with a passion for bridging these disciplines through innovative DevOps practices.

Responsibilities
- Design and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and implement efficient, reliable pipelines for software deployment, improving the speed and quality of product delivery.
- Automate Infrastructure and Streamline Processes: Enhance cloud infrastructure automation, optimize deployment processes, and drive performance improvements.
- Collaboration with Development Teams: Integrate DevOps best practices within the software development lifecycle and assist teams with continuous improvements.
- Mentoring and Guidance: Provide leadership in DevOps methodologies, mentoring junior engineers to ensure consistent adherence to best practices.
- Security and Scalability: Ensure infrastructure and services are secure, resilient, and scalable, meeting the company’s operational needs.
- Drive Innovation: Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve team efficiency and system reliability.
Required Skills
- Experience: 5+ years in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure engineering.
- Cloud Expertise: Strong knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes for cloud-native applications.
- CI/CD Implementation: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI for consistent deployments.
- Scripting & Automation: Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go) to automate processes and develop tools.
- System Administration: Solid background in Linux system administration and managing cloud infrastructure.
- Security and Compliance: Understanding of security frameworks, DevSecOps practices, and compliance standards such as SOC 2, NIST.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong team collaboration skills with clear, structured communication in distributed, remote-first teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud Certification: AWS Certification is a plus.
- Advanced Infrastructure Skills: Experience with modern DevOps methodologies, cloud-native environments, and distributed systems.
- Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile practices and experience working in Agile environments.
- Leadership: Proven experience mentoring teams and driving technical direction in a collaborative setting.
- Continuous Learning: A passion for staying up-to-date with emerging DevOps tools, technologies, and trends.
