About the Role
This DevOps Engineer role focuses on maintaining, automating, and enhancing cloud infrastructure, ensuring services remain high-availability and scalable. The role involves working with AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines, while promoting security, compliance, and efficient service management.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance cloud infrastructure on AWS and servers.com.
- Manage and support Kubernetes clusters, deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD.
- Ensure the high availability and scalability of services.
- Administer and optimise data streams using Apache Kafka.
- Set up, monitor, and optimise PostgreSQL databases (including replication and backups).
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub CI.
- Manage corporate services, including VPN, SSO, and internal tools.
- Administer user access, VPN solutions, and integrate SSO (Google Workspace).
- Ensure infrastructure security, IAM, secrets management, and audit logs.
- Manage secrets with Vault or similar solutions.
- Support, configure, and maintain service mesh infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot gRPC-based services and ensure service security.
- Participate in on-call rotation to respond to incidents and outages.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or SRE.
- Hands-on experience with AWS administration (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
- Solid knowledge of Kubernetes (Helm, Operators, Custom Resources).
- Experience working with Apache Kafka (administration and monitoring).
- Strong skills in PostgreSQL (ideally at DBA level).
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with VPN administration (OpenVPN) and SSO configurations (Google Workspace).
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault or similar secrets management solutions.
- Experience supporting service mesh technologies.
- Experience with gRPC in a microservices environment.
- Availability for on-call duties outside of regular hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with infrastructure testing automation.
- Background in iGaming or FinTech industries.
- Scripting skills in Python/Bash.
- Experience with Golang and Node.js for infrastructure automation (writing operators, utilities, scripts).
