About the Role

VIA is looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team and help drive the deployment, support, and security of their Web3 data and identity protection solutions. As a key member of the DevOps team, this role will involve the design and maintenance of scalable, secure, and efficient systems, with direct impact on VIA’s microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cloud infrastructure, automation, and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Scalability: Design and scale systems to support 50x growth, including cloud infrastructure and team scalability initiatives.
CI/CD & Automation: Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate tasks, and optimize deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual operations.
Performance & Monitoring: Develop monitoring and logging frameworks for various teams and products, providing insights into system health and performance trends.
Incident Management: Lead on-call rotation and manage production incidents, performing root cause analysis and ensuring resolution of critical issues.
Security & Compliance: Work with security teams to ensure systems comply with security standards and improve the security posture of VIA’s infrastructure.
Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with development teams and mentor junior engineers, contributing to VIA’s culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Skills

Experience: 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related field.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud services.
Programming & Automation: Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages, with experience in automating cloud infrastructure.
System Monitoring: Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana for performance tracking and alerting.
Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools.
Incident Response: Proven ability to handle production incidents, performing root cause analysis and ensuring swift resolution.
Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and engage with both technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Cloud Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator, or similar certifications.
Blockchain & Web3 Experience: Experience working with blockchain technologies and Web3 solutions.
Service Mesh Technologies: Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio.
Compliance & Security: Experience with security frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOC 2, and NIST compliance.
Programming Languages: Experience with Go, Java, or similar languages for infrastructure automation.
