About the Role
The Junior DevOps Engineer will play a key role in supporting the automation of software delivery, cloud infrastructure management, and collaboration with both development and operations teams. This position focuses on contributing to the success of a retail store system by ensuring the systems are scalable, secure, and efficient while working within a 24×7 support model.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and automate CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth software deployment.
- Assist with configuring and maintaining cloud infrastructure and web solutions.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production environments, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
- Document system configurations, deployment processes, and related technical workflows.
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and security implementations.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in IT or DevOps, focusing on cloud solutions and web-based architectures.
- Experience with automation tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Puppet.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of networking (DNS, TCP/IP), Linux systems, and security tools.
- Experience with web servers such as Apache or Nginx and performance tuning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with modern security protocols and tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of scripting languages for automating tasks.
