About the Role
As a Senior DevOps Automation Engineer at Sportradar, you will be responsible for automating new services, optimizing existing solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your work will help enhance the infrastructure’s scalability, performance, and security. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on infrastructure operations and automate key processes that support the millions of users relying on Sportradar’s services every day.
Responsibilities
- Automation: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for new and existing services using tools like Ansible.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teams to gather requirements and implement automation solutions, ensuring operational excellence across the company.
- Security: Implement security best practices and manage infrastructure deployments using tools like HashiCorp Vault.
- Version Control & CI/CD: Use Git and GitLab for version control, ensuring efficient and secure CI/CD pipelines.
- Programming & Scripting: Write and maintain Python scripts to support automation and infrastructure management tasks.
- Incident Management: Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, collaborating with the team for continuous improvement.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of processes, standards, and solutions to ensure alignment and stability across teams.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with automation tools, particularly Ansible.
- Proficient in Git, GitLab, and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Deep understanding of AWS services, including EKS and EKS Anywhere.
- Experience with Kubernetes (Amazon EKS and on-prem management).
- Solid knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure as code practices.
- Hands-on experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
- Knowledge of REST APIs for integration and automation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to modern technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Rancher for managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience in Cloud Computing technologies.
- Understanding of multithreading and concurrency.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
